What is the participation expectation?
Participants are encouraged to visit Paradise Community Garden during our weekly Sunday “office hours” (11:00 AM–2:00 PM) to check on their plants, connect with the Plantify team, and stay engaged in the program.
We hope participants can join about once a week, but we understand life happens — missing a week or two is okay.
Do I need to attend every week to participate?
No. Weekly participation is encouraged, but it is not all-or-nothing. The program is designed to be supportive and flexible, while still fostering connection and shared learning.
Can I grow my crops at home instead of at the garden?
Yes, growing at home is an option. If you choose this path, participants are expected to:
- Share periodic updates on their growing progress, and
- Participate in the program’s milestone gathering and The Great Winter Soup Bowl event in March.
These moments help us stay connected as a learning community.
Is there a cost to participate?
No — this program is free, but participation is expected.
What if I can’t make the Sunday office hours? Are there other options?
Yes. Additional participation options and supports will be shared at the program kickoff event. We aim to make this program accessible and will communicate alternatives as they become available.
When does the program start?
The program will begin with a kickoff event, tentatively scheduled for January 18.

What is the program working toward?
The program will conclude with a community event: The Great Winter Soup Bowl in March, using ingredients grown through the program. This event celebrates learning, participation, and shared stewardship.
